Criminal liability arising from violations of labor laws in the private sector is an important topic in modern labor legislation, as it protects workers’ fundamental rights, ensures a safe and healthy working environment, and promotes social justice. This liability arises when employers or workers violate labor laws concerning wages, working hours, working conditions, social insurance, and occupational safety. Violations range from failure to comply with minimum wage requirements to exposing workers to health risks and neglecting safety measures. Labor legislation imposes penalties on violators, including fines, imprisonment, and suspension of commercial activities. Criminal liability may also arise when workers suffer serious harm due to negligence or abuse. This liability is not limited to employers but may also extend to workers who violate safety instructions or participate in legal violations. It serves to balance workers’ rights and employers’ obligations, thereby contributing to social and economic stability.
