Prof. Dr. Bashar Adnan Malkawi

Prof. Dr. Bashar Adnan Malkawi is an Associate Professor of Civil Law at the Faculty of Law, the University of Jordan. He boasts a distinguished international academic and administrative career, having served as Head of the Private Law Department at Sultan Qaboos University (Oman), a member of the Permanent Committee of the Law Sector at the Institute of Public Administration in Riyadh, and a board member of the College of Law at Prince Sultan University (Saudi Arabia), alongside his role as Vice Dean for Quality at the University of Jordan and a lecturer at Ohio University (USA). He earned his Ph.D. in Civil Law from the University of Reims, France (2001), under joint supervision with Sorbonne University, and is fully bilingual in French and English. Prof. Malkawi has a prolific publication record comprising 21 authored and translated books and dozens of peer-reviewed papers indexed in prestigious international databases like Scopus (Q2/Q3). His research covers contract theory, civil responsibility, foreign investment, and labor law. He is the recipient of several global accolades, including the "Distinguished Researcher Award" from Sultan Qaboos University and the International Scientist Awards for "Best Academic" (2021 & 2022). Furthermore, he has served as an international expert for renowned organizations such as the International Labour Organization (ILO), the UNDP, and the Arab Center for Legal and Judicial Research (Arab League), while sitting on the editorial boards of numerous global journals in the USA and Europe and supervising nearly 100 postgraduate theses.
