Associate Professor Dr. Tareck Alsamara
Dr. Tareck Alsamara is an Associate Professor of Private Law at the College of Law, Prince Sultan University (PSU) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He earned his Ph.D. in Private Comparative Law (2008), a Diploma in Comparative Legal Research (2007), and a Master’s degree in Private Comparative Law (2004) from the University of Via Domitia (Perpignan), France, following his Bachelor of Laws from the Faculty of Law at Damascus University (2002). Dr. Alsamara boasts a rich international academic and professional background, having served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Montpellier, an Assistant Professor at the University of Paris-Est Créteil (UPEC) in France (2014–2019), and an Assistant Professor at the International University of Science and Technology (IUST) in Damascus. His professional expertise also includes serving as a legal consultant for the French Red Cross and practicing as a lawyer with the Damascus Bar Association.
His teaching and research command spans across the Sources of Obligations, Labor Law and Social Security, Real and Personal Guarantees, and Criminal Law, alongside supervising Master's theses. Dr. Alsamara has published extensively in high-impact, peer-reviewed international journals indexed in Scopus. His contemporary research portfolio focuses heavily on Digital Law, artificial intelligence regulations, the legal framework of cryptocurrencies, electronic arbitration, and climate change litigation under national and international justice, with a particular emphasis on Saudi, French, and comparative legal systems.
