Professor Dr. Muhammad Hamoud Al-Qatashah

Prof. Dr. Mohammad Hamad Al-Katatsheh is a Professor of Political Science at the Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II School of International Studies, the University of Jordan. He holds a distinguished academic and parliamentary record, having been elected as a Member of the 17th Jordanian Parliament (2013–2016), where he chaired the Parliamentary Education, Culture, and Youth Committee and led the Wasat Parliamentary Bloc. He earned his Ph.D. in Political Science from Suez Canal University, Egypt (1999), and his Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees from the University of Jordan. Prof. Al-Katatsheh previously served as the Head of the Political Science Department at both Mutah University and the Applied Science University in Bahrain, and lectured at the Jordanian Diplomatic Institute and the Royal Police Academy. He has an extensive research record, having authored and edited 8 scholarly books and numerous peer-reviewed papers in regional and international journals, focusing on comparative government systems, Islamic political thought, and democratic development in the Arab world. He has supervised and examined over 50 Master's and Ph.D. theses. Additionally, he served as the President of the Jordanian Association for Political Science for multiple terms, is the Editor-in-Chief of the "Resalat Al-Jamiya" journal, and is a board member of the Arab Youth Forum and the Jordanian Writers Association.
