Assistant Professor Dr. Omran Yahiya Abu Musameh

Dr. Imran Yahya Ahmad Abu Musameh is an Assistant Professor of Constitutional and International Law at the Faculty of Sharia and Law, the Islamic University of Gaza. He holds a distinguished academic record featuring two Ph.D. degrees completed in 2021: one in Constitutional Law from the National Ribat University (Sudan) with highest honors and a recommendation for publication, and the other in Public International Law from Tanta University (Egypt). He earned both his Master's (2017) and Bachelor's (2012) degrees in Law with excellence from the Islamic University of Gaza. Dr. Abu Musameh has an extensive publication record, including 7 peer-reviewed papers published across international journals and research centers in Jordan, Egypt, Germany, Sudan, and Morocco, alongside authoring two law books published in Berlin and Cairo. He was awarded second place in the Sheikh Ahmed Yassin International Award for Public Freedoms and Human Rights (2019). In addition to his academic tenure, he serves as an editorial board member for several peer-reviewed journals in Palestine, Iraq, and Algeria. He is a practicing attorney, a certified civil disputes arbitrator by the Palestinian Ministry of Justice, and an accredited Sharia arbitrator.
